Although it has not been officially launched, the specifications of the Lexus LX series have been leaked by an automotive site in Japan. This luxury SUV produced by Lexus is planned to be made in two types, one of which is a hybrid version.

Previously, Japanese site Creative Trend reported on the specifications of the Land Cruiser 300-series. Indeed, not 100% of the leaked specifications are accurate, but at least almost all of the leaked specifications are true to reality. Now they have shifted their focus to LX.

As translated by Lexus Enthusiast, the specifications of the Lexus LX 600 series are likely to use the Land Cruiser's 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The engine is capable of producing 415 horsepower with 480 pounds / foot of torque.

Creative Trend added that in the Middle East, the model will be called the LX 500d. That implies it will be equipped with the Land Cruiser's 3.3-liter V6 turbo diesel producing 309 horses and 516 pounds/foot.

The next flagship model in the series is the LX 750h. This type will use a hybrid-electric system engine to a 3.5-liter petrol V6. This engine will produce a strong 480 horsepower and 642 lb/ft of torque. This powertrain is not available on the Land Cruiser.

In addition, the LX will have a more luxurious and high-tech interior, with a version of the new Lexus Interface rumored to appear on the new Lexus NX. However, the NX series has a 14-inch version of the screen, while the LX is 17 inches.

In addition, the Land Cruiser and Lexus LX in Japan will feature a fingerprint recognition system on the engine start button to prevent thefts that are rampant in Japan.

The report says Japan's Lexus will start taking pre-orders in September, with the LX itself debuting in December.
