After Suzuki unveiled its new hyper naked GSX-S1000 transformation a few weeks ago, the average two-wheeler expects the Japanese manufacturer to take similar steps for its touring model, the GSX-S1000F.

This prediction is clearly accurate, but it seems even bigger as the documents that surfaced reveal Suzuki will be replacing the GSX-S1000F with the more touring-motivated GSX-S1000T.

However, no photos of the GSX-S1000T are included with the documents, but the information provided suggests the touring model uses the same mechanical unit as the GSX-S1000 (2021).

The Euro5 emission compliant power generator shared by both models is a 999cc DOHC inline four-cylinder engine with fuel injection (FI) technology and several new matching components such as the airbox, valve springs, camshaft and throttle body.

The power output of the S1000 and S1000T is the same at 150hp @ 11,000rpm and 106Nm of torque at 9,250rpm. 6-speed manual clutch-type gearbox system.

The motorcycle frame is the same as the GSX-S1000, and the wheelbase is the same (1,460mm). This includes sharing the same components as the reverse fork (USD) and the Brembo brake set. Tire sizes 120/70ZR17 (front) and 190/50ZR17 (rear).

Differences were detected in the taller body design compared to the naked 2021 version due to the use of a new fairing and the option of an additional wind visor.

It is 825mm wider, 2,140mm longer, and there is an additional 12kg in weight compared to the naked version. This suggests that the S1000T might use a new saddle and have its own set of luggage boxes.
